The federal government is the number one source for revenue for businesses in the form of federal grants. With the current influx of stimulus dollars from the federal government there is even a greater opportunity to receive federal grant funding. The challenge with federal grants is that extreme oversight and accountability for the funds are mandated. Having an accounting system setup that can withstand the rigors of federal and CPA A133 audits of federal grant funds is mandatory. With those stringent reporting requirements in mind I have created a federal grants management Quick Books model that has the features and functionalities needed for tracking federal grants. This model also works well for state and local government grants as they normally follow the federal requirements. This training session will cover how this Quick Books model can assist you with your federal and governmental grants tracking.
