What is The Sleeter Group Conference?
The Sleeter Group's Accounting Solutions Conference empowers accountants and consultants with the knowledge and essential tools necessary to be successful in the accounting software consulting market. You will learn in-depth technical skills from the country's leading expert advisory group while networking with hundreds of colleagues, industry experts, and hardware and software developers. Conference attendees include approximately 500 accounting software consultants as well as 60 software developers and service providers.
How well do I need to know accounting software to attend the Conference?
There are no prerequisites for attending the Conference, but the Conference is not intended to teach the basics of accounting software. The Conference is packed full of consulting topics such as evaluating, installing, troubleshooting, and supporting accounting software and add-ons. The Conference focuses on financial accounting software and the products that integrate with these types of packages, but also includes many other useful topics in this market.
I already know a lot about accounting solutions. Should I attend?
Absolutely! Over 80% of our attendees come back year after year. Even if you're already an expert, the Conference will provide you with an opportunity to increase your knowledge, establish contacts with other consultants, and learn about the latest solutions from vendors. You will also earn at least 8 CPE credits per day.
Is the Conference "hands-on" using computers?
No. We use the "big screen" presentation method. The Conference materials that you will receive include detailed information coordinated with the presentations on the big screen. You are welcome to bring your laptop to the Conference.
Will you be offering this Conference again?
The Conference is an annual event. Subscribe to our e-newsletter to ensure that you receive infomration about all our events.
Will your products be available for purchase at the Conference?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to preview and purchase our products at the Conference. Orders received at the Conference will be shipped the week after the Conference. You will receive a Conference discount on many products ordered within 30 days of the Conference. We offer free shipping to Conference attendees on product orders received within 72 hours following the Conference. Will I receive information about the Sleeter Group Consultants Network at the Conference?
Yes, we will distribute information about joining the Network and becoming Sleeter Group Certified. However, you can read all about the membership now on our Become a Consultant page. Note that if you join the Consultants Network when you register you will receive the Member's rate for the Conference and be able to attend the Member's Banquet.
Can I receive CPE credits for attending the Conference?
The Sleeter Group is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).You may receive up to CPE credits for attending all possible Conference CPE functions. The Sleeter Group is also registered with the IRS for Enrolled Agents.

Do you offer CPE for Enrolled Agents?
Yes. We are registered with the Internal Revenue Service for Enrolled Agents.
What is the program level of the Conference?
The program level of the Conference is "Advanced". This is an intermediate level course designed for consultants. That said, there are many opportunities to learn from presenters, exhibitors, and each other, whether you are a beginner or an expert.
Are there any prerequisites for the Conference?
Attendees should have knowledge of, and work with clients who use, accounting software. No advanced preparation is required.
How much does it cost and what is included in the conference registration fee?

Are there any registration promotions?
Yes! We have on-going and limited-time registrations promotions throughout the registration window. Look forward to promotions if you are Sleeter Group Member, first-time attendee, or refer an attendee to the Conference.
When can I check in for the Conference?
Detailed instructions for check in will be provided to you after you register for the Conference.
I want to bring other people from my firm. Do we receive a discount?
If you are attending the Conference and would like to bring at least one other from your firm, you will qualify for a group discount. A group is two or more people from the same firm.
I am not able to attend the Conference at this time. Are the Conference materials available for sale?
Conference presentation materials are only available for Conference attendees. The Conference will NOT be video taped.
I want to register now, but if I cancel, can someone else go in my place?
Substitutions are allowed and can be made online or by phoning our office.
Do you offer other CPE courses?

What materials will I receive at the Conference?
Approximately one week prior to the Conference, you will receive a Web link to detailed session descriptions and PDFs of the handouts which you can browse to help you make a decision about which session to attend. Onsite, we will provide printed hand outs.
What topics will be covered at the Conference?

Do you have a money-back guarantee?
Our Conference is 100% money-back guaranteed. If you decide that this Conference is not right for you, notify a Sleeter Group on-site representative on the first day of the Conference and return your materials. We will issue a full refund within 14 business days.
What is your cancellation policy?
You must send a written note of cancellation for either full or partial refunds. A partial refund will be given to cancellations that occur after the cut-off date, typically 6 weeks prior to the beginning of the Conference. Substitutions are allowed and can be made online or on-site.
Is there a discount rate at the Conference hotel? What about travel discounts?
The Sleeter Group has arranged a discount hotel rate of $149.00 per night at Anaheim Marriott. We will send you information to reserve your room when you register for the Conference. Room availability is limited, so book your room as soon as possible.

When should I arrive at the Conference?

What type of food will be served at the Conference?
We will do our best to offer a wide variety of food and beverage selections at Conference meals. We will post Conference menus on our website. Please email info@sleeter.com if you have any special dietary needs.
How should I dress?
Business casual attire is appropriate for all Conference activities. Since meeting room temperatures vary, we recommend that you bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions. Certain events during the Conference may include "themes" which you will be notified about by e-mail after you register.
What should I bring with me?
Be sure to bring a lot of business cards for prize drawings and networking with your fellow attendees.
May I bring a guest to the Conference Reception?
Guests are welcome to attend the Conference Receptions, but a guest ticket may be required. The ticket may be purchase online or phone our office at 888-484-5484.
